numerous friends to the memory of ROBERT WALKER BLACK, late surgeon at Tongue, who died on the 27th day of May 1870 aged 49 years. For nearly thirty years the only medical practitioner in the northern district of Sutherlandshire, his genial manner and prompt attention to his arduous duties, gained for him the esteem and affection of all classes of the community.
