Erected by ALEXANDER MACKAY in loving memory of his brother HUGH MACKAY who died at Cnoc, Melness, 31st March 1928 aged 78 years. Also their father HUGH MACKAY died 1st August 1864 aged 50 years. And their mother MARION RANKINE died 6th June 1906 aged 85 years. Also his brother MACKAY MACKAY died 12th March 1874 aged 21 years. And his sister BARBARA MACKAY died 12th Dec. 1913 aged 50 years.
