I've been unable to find her husband, Hugh John Bruce, in this census. 7 Apr 1861 census: age 31, wife of Hugh Bruce at Townhead, Kirkintilloch, Dumbartonshire, Scotland. 4 2 Apr 1871 census: age 40, widow, cotton bobbin winder,head of household at 71, East Hope Street, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Glasgow. As well as Agnes's children, the household also included her widowed father. 5 1 Mar 1876: Agnes was married from 548, Great Eastern Road, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland (age 45). Agnes married Hugh John BRUCE [7808] [MRIN: 2278] on 16 Nov 1844 in Kilwinning, AYR, Scotland.1 (Hugh John BRUCE [7808] was born about 1822 in Ireland and died on 12 Jan 1868 in Glasgow 6.) Noted events in their marriage were: 18 Mar 1868: resided in 34, Tylefield Street, Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland. 7 Agnes next married James YOUNG, (parents known) [12155] [MRIN: 3506] on 1 Mar 1876 in 36, Whitevale Street, Glasgow, Scotland.2 (James YOUNG, (parents known) [12155] was born about 1826 and died after 1903.) |
